SSL (Solid State Logic) under the ownership of legendary recording artist/music visionary Peter Gabriel , introduces “The Shed of your Dreams”.
To quote SSL:
“Previously limited to individuals with multi-million dollar budgets, the recording studio existed only in the dreams of many people. Now, the SSL Shed of your Dreams can be in your backyard for under $250,000. The Shed is a private place where you can realise your creative ambitions - accessible 24/7.
Installing a recording studio inside your house might not be practical in terms of space, cost or domestic harmony, so we developed the idea of a Shed of your Dreams in conjunction with Peter Gabriel who wrote many of his greatest hits in a shed at the bottom of his garden.
SSL has partnered with Summerwood who are designers of fine outdoor structures, to create a stunning professional studio for your backyard. Fully-customisable to your individual taste, the Summerwood Shed houses a complete professional recording studio using the SSL AWS 900+ console as its creative centrepiece. Connected to SSL XLogic processing and converters, with additional equipment specified and provided by selected authorised SSL dealers, the SSL Shed of Your Dreams is a recording studio that rivals the technology used by industry professionals.
To guarantee performance, every Shed package includes a certification visit by a factory-trained SSL engineer to check over the audio installation and provide introductory console training.
Requiring only a concrete pad, power connection and in some cases a building permit, the Shed is a simple solution to what can be a daunting problem.”
