Delkin CompactFlash Pro UDMA cards...price drop

We have some new lower pricing on the high-speed CompactFlash Pro UDMA cards by Delkin.  We also added the 16GB card today.

From Delkin:

What is UDMA and why do I need it?

UDMA (Ultra Direct Memory Access)

To help explain this we asked our Senior Digital Design Engineer, Chris Wood, to give us his explanation, "The advantages of UDMA over previous transfer modes are the use of double edge clocking, that is transferring data on both the rising and falling edge of the clock thereby doubling the data transfer rate per clock and increased reliability by the use of cyclical redundancy checking (CRC) for data transferred over the bus."

Basically, this new technology facilitates data transfer; dramatically increasing transfer speeds, allowing for a more streamlined workflow process. It's important to note that UDMA technology is ONLY utilized when used in combination with UDMA enabled devices, such as Delkin's FireWire 400/800 reader, the ExpressCard CF adapter, or CardBus32 UDMA adapter.

Why do I need UDMA technology?

  • High card-to-computer transfer times
  • Faster data transfer rates (45MB/s)
  • Streamlines workflow
  • Reduces battery usage in the field
  • More time to make photographs

High Performance Photography

Delkin's CompactFlash Pro UDMA enabled cards deliver industry-leading read/write speeds with a sustained transfer speed of 305x (45MB/sec). The enhanced camera-to-card and card-to-computer transfer times considerably improve workflow for any pro photographer in the field.

Delkin's CompactFlash Pro UDMA cards when used with the Delkin's line of Pro readers and adapters, dramatically reduces the time needed to download digital image files to a computer. The difference may be crucial for those working in the field with battery operated laptops, and particularly important for pros working in news media, wedding or event photography. Certainly any photographer working with larger RAW files will experience a great benefit in faster transfer speeds in the camera and computer.
