Economic stimulus:  Those two words bring out varied responses from everyone asked to voice an opinion.  One thing I believe almost everyone agrees on is that education is a excellent area for some of the funds.  We work with schools all over the country, from preschools through college, and often see teachers using their own funds to help their students get the products required.  I have purchased multiple items for my kids classrooms at the beginning of each school year that were always provided for free when I was in school.  Times have changed but the need for a quality education has not.

Will economic stimulus funds for schools actually help schools?  Google "stimulus funds for schools" and you will find a huge array of articles and opinions on the subject.  I believe as long as the funds end up actually going to the schools it has to be a huge bonus.  Educators have a huge responsibility when it comes to educating our children; the absolute least we can do is provide them with the needed tools to do their jobs successfully.  I have yet to meet a teacher who is doing their job strictly for the paycheck.

What exactly is "green toner"?  It is different things to different people.  Remanufactured laser toner reuses the plastic shell which does help keep tons of empties out of landfills.  Some manufacturers offer recycling programs that allow you to ship back, sometimes for free, your empty cartridges to them; they will then reuse the cartridges either for refilling or for recycling the parts. 

What about the black laser powder that fills these cartridges?  The black toner is made from petroleum-based products.  While reloading the powder into a recycled cartridge definitely helps the environment we have an even better solution:
