Gold has gotten very expensive and we have seen the prices of Gold archival media go up again.  With gold now priced well above $800 the media manufacturers are passing that cost along; the amount of gold in each disc is not a lot but the high cost definitely adds to the manufacturing price of each unit.  Even with the higher costs we still see a high demand for gold media since the stability of the media continues to outweigh the price.  MAM-A Mitsui, Kodak, Verbatim and Delkin all offer gold products and currently we have inventory from all of them.
